Hello Everyone. This particular environment is a fan art and an attempt to recreate the St Valentine map location from the game of Red dead Redemption 2 game to my level best. I know recreating each and every minute details of the environment was impossible even though I thought this environment had an overall package of everything which would be challenging enough to work on improving my overall skills as an environment artist.
I was responsible for creating all the assets including the landscape, buildings and the assets associated with it. The materials used for the landscape, trees and foliage were the megascans assets. Quixel bridge assets were used to populate the scene.
As an overall project it helped me to improve the trim sheet workflows and the procedural texturing skills using substance designer.
I would like to personally thank Emiel Sleegers for his awesome tutorial on creating wild west environments, and the CG Dealers community and the discord group members which helped me a lot in creating the landscape master material required for the scene.
This project to be honest was a bit challenging and intimidating at the beginning, but I am glad that I chose to recreate this particular piece of environment because I definitely learned a lot in terms of creating large scale environments.
